Spumanti chamber orchestra brings together professional Flemish top musicians to make music in a sparkling way.
Our main motivation is playing together based on experience and insight into music, but above all based on the common desire to be able to experience our profession at a high musical level. Quality is our first motto: commitment, enthusiasm, authentic and intense music making are inextricably linked to this.
From Mozart to Gjeilo: it sparkles!
Our seat is in Ghent, where we rehearse, and from there we make music.
Our target audience is everyone who has a warm heart for classical music and wants to put it on the Belgian and international Culture Map.
Initially a string orchestra, Spumanti can be expanded with wind instruments, percussion, harp, choir, ...
Large orchestra or chamber music ensemble; evening concert, aperitif or coffee concert, matinee, academic session: Spumanti offers countless options tailored to the concert organizer.
With the support of the City of Ghent, Spumanti, sparkling chamber orchestra, presented three concerts in 2018 in three prestigious concert halls in Ghent: Opera, Bijloke and Handelsbeurs.
2019 brought some surprising concerts, including a grand multimedia music theater performance around Napoleon Bonaparte in collaboration with Johan Op de Beeck, narrator. This production attracted thousands of people and was brought all over Flanders, with a successful revival in 2020.
A sequel is planned for 2022 and 2023: the majestic story of Louis 14, the Sun King who made Versailles the center of Europe. For this production, Spumanti obtained the support of Klara.
